Greene County senior Rachael Danielson was forced to withdraw from the final day of the Class 2A state golf tournament being played at Lake Panorama National because of swelling in her knee that had been surgically repaired.
Danielson was making her third state appearance and shot 97 for 18 holes on Tuesday, May 29. She was tied for 25th place in the 78-person field. Danielson finished 18th and sixth the last two seasons in Class 3A.
The Central College golf recruit has had multiple knee surgeries during her high school career. She took extra rest time from practice and competition this season for healing purposes. ~The Scranton Journal
